Temus AI Foundry
Temus' AI Foundry is a 2026 Singapore enterprise-AI deployment and talent initiative supported by Digital Industry Singapore, intended to place AI specialists on live projects and build enterprise deployment capability.
Temus AI Foundry
The Temus AI Foundry is an enterprise-AI deployment and talent initiative announced at ATxSummit 2026. IMDA described Temus as a Temasek-established AI and digital-transformation firm and said the Foundry would be supported by Digital Industry Singapore (DISG). Its announced purpose is to help enterprises deploy AI solutions at scale while developing a pipeline of practitioners (IMDA, 20 May 2026).
Planned team and live-project model
IMDA said the Foundry would hire 50 professionals across roles including AI architects, data scientists, AI/ML engineers, product owners, and full-stack, DevOps and UX engineers. The announced model would deploy those professionals on live enterprise projects in high-value sectors such as financial services and precision health. The figure is a stated hiring and deployment target; it is not evidence that 50 people had already been hired, that every project would be funded or that every enterprise could obtain a placement (IMDA, 20 May 2026).
The target describes the Foundry’s planned capability, not a published service quota for companies. Project selection, staffing and delivery outcomes remain implementation questions that the announcement does not resolve (IMDA, 20 May 2026).
Relationship to AI Singapore
Temus also announced a memorandum of understanding with AI Singapore (AISG) to explore joint prototypes, reusable delivery frameworks and enterprise deployments using nationally developed AI capabilities. “Explore” describes a collaboration pathway rather than a completed deployment or automatic access to AISG models, public data or government contracts. The Foundry is therefore an industry-led delivery and capability initiative with public-sector ecosystem support, not a new government agency (IMDA, 20 May 2026).
The AISG reference identifies a partner and possible technical collaboration, not an award of public work or a general application channel. Any use of models, data or delivery support would still depend on the relevant terms and approvals (IMDA, 20 May 2026).
Boundaries with national AI programmes
The Foundry should be distinguished from the National AI Impact Programme, which has broad enterprise and workforce reach targets, and from DISG's Enterprise Compute Initiative, which is a specific cloud, tools and consultancy pathway for qualifying companies. Temus' Foundry may contribute to the same national adoption objectives, but the announcement does not establish a universal grant, a standardised eligibility route, a guaranteed AI deployment or a public entitlement to Temus personnel (IMDA, 20 May 2026; National AI strategy and governance; Enterprise Compute Initiative).
The programmes can be related in policy context while remaining separate in administration and eligibility. A company should not use the Foundry’s announcement as evidence that it qualifies for the Enterprise Compute Initiative or any other DISG support route (IMDA, 20 May 2026).
Implementation and participation boundary
The IMDA release describes a planned hiring and live-project model, not a public intake form or published list of participating enterprises. The 50-professional figure is a target for the Foundry’s capability, and the references to financial services and precision health identify example high-value sectors rather than a promise that every firm in those sectors will receive a project. An interested organisation must therefore look for a later Temus, DISG or IMDA route and confirm its own commercial, technical, data, cybersecurity and sector requirements. The Foundry’s public-sector support does not turn an industry-led initiative into a statutory agency, procurement award or universal deployment service (IMDA, 20 May 2026, rechecked 12 September 2026).
