Korea's Jeju meat and processed-egg source approval

As of 21 August 2026, a Singapore Food Agency (SFA) trade circular records approval for the Republic of Korea to export chilled or frozen beef and beef products from Jeju Island, chilled or frozen pork and pork products from Jeju Island, and processed egg products to Singapore. The circular says five establishments in Korea had been accredited for those exports (SFA, Approval of Korea as a new source for Jeju beef and pork and processed eggs, last updated 21 August 2026, accessed 21 August 2026).

Scope and establishment-level qualification

The approval covers the products and geographical source categories listed in the circular; it is not a blanket approval for every Korean establishment or every Korean food product. SFA directs traders to its Accreditation Database for Overseas Sources for the details of the five accredited establishments. Importers must therefore distinguish source-country approval from establishment-level accreditation and product-specific import conditions (SFA, Korea source approval circular, accessed 21 August 2026).

Date interpretation

The page is a revised SFA circular whose URL includes 2025, while the page reports a 21 August 2026 last-updated date. This article therefore records the approval as current as of 21 August 2026 and does not claim that the original approval was issued on that date. The circular also does not announce a quota, shipment schedule or retail-price effect (SFA, Korea source approval circular, accessed 21 August 2026).
