Paws in the City 2026

The Animal and Veterinary Service (AVS) scheduled Paws in the City for 27–29 August 2026, from 11am to 8pm, at Urban Park, Guoco Tower, 1 Wallich Street. The official listing presents it as an event where members of the public can learn about adoption and responsible pet ownership and meet animals through adoption drives (AVS, accessed 27 August 2026). The event is a time-limited public outreach and adoption activity, not a new pet-licensing rule or a guarantee that every animal can be adopted on site.

Adoption drives and participating groups

AVS says that adoption drives across the three days feature dogs, cats and small mammals, with different animal-welfare groups scheduled at different times. Activities and responsible ownership

The programme includes an AVS education booth, opportunities to speak with AVS dog trainers, a fostering talk by Every Stray Matters, a recycled-materials dog-toy workshop, treasure hunts, paw races and a best-dressed owner-and-dog contest.
