Child LifeSG Credits 2026
Child LifeSG Credits 2026 provide S$500 for each eligible Singapore Citizen child aged 0 to 12 in 2026, credited to the child's Child Development Account trustee for household expenses through LifeSG.
Child LifeSG Credits 2026
Child LifeSG Credits (CLC) 2026 are a Singapore family-support measure announced under Budget 2026. Eligible families receive S$500 for each Singapore Citizen child aged 0 to 12 years in 2026, with the credits disbursed from 14 July 2026 for children born between 2014 and 2025 (MSF, published 13 July 2026, accessed 30 August 2026). The credits are a per-child household-support measure, not a universal payment to every family or a replacement for the wider Baby Bonus system.
Eligibility and payment timing
Child LifeSG Credits 2026 cover eligible Singapore Citizen children aged 0 to 12 in 2026. MSF’s disbursement table places children born between 2014 and 2025 in the tranche starting 14 July 2026, while children born in 2026 are scheduled for disbursement from April 2027 (MSF, published 13 July 2026, accessed 30 August 2026). The age and citizenship description is a condition for the child, and the credit amount is S$500 per eligible child rather than S$500 per household regardless of family size.
MSF determines eligibility using records as at the 1 June 2026 eligibility-assessment date. No application is required: the credits are automatically credited to the eligible child’s Child Development Account (CDA) trustee, and the trustee can access them through the LifeSG application (MSF, published 13 July 2026, accessed 30 August 2026). This automatic crediting does not mean that every child or every household qualifies; the published conditions and MSF records determine eligibility.
Use, notification and programme boundary
Child LifeSG Credits can be used at physical and online merchants that accept PayNow UEN QR or NETS QR. MSF gives groceries, utilities and pharmacy items as examples of household expenses for which the credits may be used (MSF, published 13 July 2026, accessed 30 August 2026). The measure therefore operates through a digital wallet linked to the CDA trustee’s LifeSG access; it is not described as unrestricted cash or a payment sent directly to each child.
Eligible trustees are notified by SMS after the credit is added to the LifeSG digital wallet. MSF says those notifications are sent only from “gov.sg”, contain disbursement status and terms and conditions, and do not ask trustees to reply or provide personal information (MSF, published 13 July 2026, accessed 30 August 2026). CLC 2026 is an additional family-support measure: MSF records it as separate from the S$500 CLC top-up disbursed to more than 450,000 children in 2025, and the 2026 credit should not be confused with ordinary CDA balances or a recurring monthly allowance.
