Singapore ASEAN Chairmanship 2027 sponsorship call
MFA's 27 August 2026 sponsorship call invites Singaporean companies to propose food, furniture, audio-visual equipment, event tokens and selected medical services for seven high-level meetings during Singapore's 2027 ASEAN Chairmanship.
Singapore ASEAN Chairmanship 2027 sponsorship call
Singapore will assume the ASEAN Chairmanship in 2027. On 27 August 2026, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) invited Singaporean companies to submit sponsorship proposals for food and drink products, furniture, audio-visual equipment, event tokens and selected on-site medical cover for high-level ASEAN meetings and conferences held in conjunction with the chairmanship (MFA, 27 August 2026).
Meetings and forecast scale
The call lists seven forecast meetings. The ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Retreat is expected in January 2027 over two days with about 350 delegates and media. Senior Officials' Meetings are forecast for March, June and October, with estimated attendance of 150, 320 and 220 respectively, and durations of one to two days or two days. The 50th ASEAN Summit is forecast for May over five days with about 600 delegates and media; the 60th ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Meeting and related meetings is forecast for July over five days with about 1,400; and the 51st ASEAN Summit and related summits is forecast for November over six days with about 2,500 (MFA, 27 August 2026).
These are MFA's forecast dates, durations and estimated attendance, not final event calendars or guaranteed delegate totals. The call says high-level foreign delegations are expected and that the meetings are likely to attract local and international media attention. It does not establish the final venues, confirmed participants, or a completed procurement award (MFA, 27 August 2026).
What companies may propose
MFA's requested sponsorship categories are food and drink products, furniture, audio-visual equipment, event tokens for delegates, and on-site medical cover services, such as medical standby teams and ambulances. Medical cover is not required for the three Senior Officials' Meetings listed in the call. The opportunity is directed to Singaporean companies; a proposal must use the template in Annex A and be sent to the MFA ASEAN Chairmanship Task Force (ACTF) (MFA, 27 August 2026).
Proposals are to reach the ACTF by 28 September 2026. MFA says each proposal will be evaluated objectively on its individual merits. It also offers the possibility of a meeting to discuss event details, sponsorship expectations and potential marketing benefits if requested by companies. These points describe an invitation to propose, not an entitlement to supply goods or services and not a guarantee that a submitting company will be appointed (MFA, 27 August 2026).
Appointment and interpretation
MFA says it will sign a non-legally binding Memorandum of Understanding with appointed sponsors. The call should therefore be read as a sponsorship-proposal process supporting the logistics and hospitality of specified 2027 meetings. It is not a general ASEAN procurement framework, a grant programme, a promise of government purchasing volume, or a change to Singapore's diplomatic role as ASEAN Chair (MFA, 27 August 2026; asean).
