Singapore Haj 2027 Preparations
Quota and application administration
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia allocated Singapore a quota of 900 places for Haj 2027 (1448H). MUIS said the quota would be administered on a first-come, first-served basis through the MyHajSG portal. The quota is for the stated Haj cycle and should not be treated as a permanent annual allocation or as evidence that every registered applicant will receive a place (MUIS, 4 September 2026).
Letters of Intent and medical assessment
Applicants who registered before 7 March 2014 were scheduled to receive their Letter of Intent through MyHajSG from 14 September 2026. For Haj 2027, Saudi requirements make an enhanced medical assessment mandatory for prospective pilgrims seeking a Haj visa. MUIS said the assessment covers a clinical examination, blood tests, chest X-ray, electrocardiogram and mobility assessment; complex cases may be referred to a Haj Medical Panel (MUIS, 4 September 2026).
Assessment deadline and offer milestones
Applicants were required to complete the medical assessment by 13 October 2026 at their own cost. Those certified medically fit had to accept their Letter of Intent through MyHajSG by 18 October 2026. MUIS said eligible applicants who were medically fit and had accepted the Letter of Intent would receive a Letter of Offer from 20 October 2026 onwards, and would need to purchase a Haj package from a MUIS-appointed travel agent by 2 November 2026. These dates describe the 2027 preparation cycle and are not general Haj deadlines for later years (MUIS, 4 September 2026).
Medical assessment outcomes and tests
MUIS's Haj 2027 FAQ describes three assessment outcomes: Category A, medically fit for Haj subject to available quota; Category B, requiring review by the Haj Medical Panel, with a final decision by 18 October 2026 or earlier; and Category C, medically unfit and advised to defer. The in-person assessment includes blood tests, laboratory and physical examination, chest X-ray, ECG and mobility checks such as the Timed Up and Go and six-minute walk tests. (MUIS, Haj 2027 FAQ, updated 4 September 2026, accessed 5 September 2026.)
Senior priority and travel-safety boundary
Applicants aged 70 and above who received a Letter of Intent and were certified medically fit would continue to receive priority consideration, as in the Haj 2026 cycle. MUIS advised applicants to use only MUIS-appointed travel agents for Haj packages and related services, warning that unauthorised arrangements can create financial and travel risks. The announcement does not itself certify any particular agent or replace the MyHajSG, MUIS or Saudi health requirements (MUIS, 4 September 2026).
