Madrasah Teachers Award and Graduation Ceremony 2026
The Madrasah Teachers Award and Graduation Ceremony (MTAGC) 2026 was an inaugural MUIS ceremony held on 26 August 2026 at Suntec Singapore Convention Centre. It recognised madrasah and ILHAM educators, school leaders and community partners under the theme “Honouring Educators and Celebrating Achievements” (MUIS, 26 August 2026).
Awards and graduation milestones
MUIS reported that the Madrasah Leadership Service Award went to seven recipients who had served as madrasah leaders for at least a decade. The ceremony also recognised long service, legacy, posthumous tribute and NIE postgraduate sponsorship, and celebrated the graduation of 20 aLIVE teachers, 23 madrasah teachers who completed NIE programmes, and 21 madrasah teachers who completed a professional certificate in Arabic-language teaching and assessment from the Queen Rania Teacher Academy in Jordan (MUIS, 26 August 2026). These are ceremony-specific counts, not the size of Singapore’s entire madrasah teaching workforce.
Professional-development pathway
MUIS described the ceremony as part of a longer-term educator-development approach involving certificate and diploma pathways with NIE International, selected sponsorship for a Master’s degree in Education at NIE, and a Standards-Based Professional Certificate for Arabic-language instruction developed with the Queen Rania Teacher Academy. The ceremony therefore records recognition and professional-development milestones; it does not establish that every madrasah teacher completed an NIE or Queen Rania Teacher Academy programme (MUIS, 26 August 2026).
