Fair scope and organisers
The North East OneAviation Careers 2026 fair took place from 24 to 25 July 2026 at Pasir Ris Town Square. It was jointly organised by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), NTUC’s Employment and Employability Institute (e2i), Pasir Ris–Changi Group Representation Constituency and the North East Community Development Council. The fair brought aviation career opportunities into the heartlands, particularly for residents near Changi Airport (CAAS, 25 July 2026).
Opportunities and participating employers
The fair featured over 1,800 aviation job opportunities from 22 organisations across airport operations, aerospace, hospitality and retail. Participating organisations named by CAAS included Certis Group, Changi Airport Group, GE Aerospace, Lotte Duty Free, SATS, Scoot, Singapore Airlines, SIA Engineering Company and Singapore Aero Support Services, among others. The opportunity count is the fair’s announced vacancies, not a permanent measure of total aviation-sector demand (CAAS, 25 July 2026).
Intended participants and support
The fair was open to Singaporeans at different career stages, including mid-career jobseekers, fresh graduates, students exploring pathways and people seeking to transition into aviation. Attendees could learn about training routes, receive personalised guidance from e2i career coaches, use NTUC’s AI Career Coach for resume feedback, job matching and interview preparation, and explore part-time roles. These were support features at the dated fair, not a guarantee of employment or a universal aviation-training entitlement (CAAS, 25 July 2026).
Sector and community context
CAAS described the event as the second community-level aviation careers fair it organised in 2026. Its showcase areas—“One Industry. Many Opportunities”, “One Journey. Many Teams” and “Future of Aviation”—introduced job functions ranging from airport operations and engineering to customer service, technology and aviation security. The fair also gave visitors information about the sector’s future, including Changi Airport Terminal 5 and other aviation initiatives (CAAS, 25 July 2026).
What the fair did and did not provide
The fair was a dated access and matching event, not a new aviation regulator, a permanent recruitment portal or a guaranteed placement programme. CAAS’s description combines vacancies supplied by participating organisations with career guidance, training-route information and an AI-supported resume and job-matching service from e2i; those components should not be read as one government employment scheme (CAAS, 25 July 2026). The announced over 1,800 opportunities were therefore an event snapshot, not the number of people hired, the number of permanent aviation vacancies nationwide or an entitlement available to every Singaporean. Applicants still had to meet each employer’s requirements and any separate training or licensing conditions. The presence of CAAS, a GRC and a Community Development Council as organisers also does not make those bodies the employers for all listed roles.
