SG Partnerships Fund

The SG Partnerships Fund (SGPF) is a S$50 million fund announced as part of Budget 2026 to catalyse ground-up initiatives and help them build sustained capabilities and impact. It is administered through the Singapore Government Partnerships Office (SGPO) and supports community and social-good projects in Singapore; it does not fund commercial projects (SGPO, SG Partnerships Fund; SGPO, SGPF FAQs).

Three tiers and current limits

The fund has three pathways matched to a project's development stage. Seed is for individuals, ground-ups and Singapore-registered organisations with new ideas to pilot in a community: it provides up to S$5,000, up to 100% of supportable programme costs, and an implementation period of up to one year. Seed applications are open year-round (SGPO, SGPF FAQs).

Sprout is for individuals, ground-ups and Singapore-registered organisations that want to grow impact across communities and groups. It provides up to S$50,000, up to 80% of supportable programme costs, and up to two years for implementation. Scale is for Singapore-registered organisations with high-impact initiatives ready for sector-wide impact: it provides up to S$1 million, up to 80% of supportable programme and organisational-capacity costs, and up to three years for implementation (SGPO, SG Partnerships Fund; SGPO, SGPF FAQs).

Eligibility, timing and co-funding

Individuals, ground-ups and Singapore-registered organisations may apply for suitable tiers. Citizens submit through SingPass or CorpPass. The published 2026 application cycles are year-round for Seed; January–February, April–May, July–August and October–November for Sprout; and January–February and July–August for Scale. Sprout and Scale require 20% co-funding; this 20% co-funding requirement may be met through donations or earned revenue, and total government funding cannot exceed 80% of qualifying project costs (SGPO, SG Partnerships Fund; SGPO, SGPF FAQs).

Applications go through the OurSG Grants Portal with a budget template and supporting documents. SGPO says applicants are notified within about four weeks for Seed, eight weeks for Sprout, and five to seven months for Scale; after approval, the applicant accepts the Letter of Award before the first tranche is disbursed for project commencement. The published timing is an administrative service indication, not an approval guarantee (SGPO, SGPF FAQs).

What the fund does and does not cover

Supported initiatives can address community needs, social causes that strengthen cohesion, or cross-domain public-good objectives. Examples include volunteering drives, health workshops and collaborations between community groups. Seed and Sprout may support direct implementation costs such as venue, catering, publicity, equipment, logistics, licensing, professional services, insurance and volunteer expenses. General organisational operating or capital costs, prizes and incentives, and overseas travel are generally excluded (SGPO, SGPF FAQs).

Scale can additionally support project-dedicated staff costs, training, audit and impact evaluation as organisational-capacity costs, but applicants must justify capability-building plans and realistic budgets. SGPF is therefore a tiered grant route for not-for-profit citizen-led initiatives, not a universal cash benefit, automatic entitlement, or substitute for every existing youth, family or community grant (SGPO, SGPF FAQs).
