Religion by Affiliation, 2010 and 2020

The denominator in both columns is the Singapore resident population aged 15 years and over: citizens plus permanent residents, not the total population and not all ages. The data record one reported affiliation and do not measure attendance, intensity, multiple practice, or the beliefs of non-residents.

Retrieval constraints

These remain the latest full census religion shares as at August 2026, but they describe 2020, not current-year affiliation. Do not apply them to children under 15, tourists, work-pass holders, migrant domestic workers, students, or other non-residents. Do not infer religion from ethnicity, and do not interpret “no religion” as a measured atheist population. Use a later official survey or census if the question explicitly asks for a newer period.
