Integration of Foreign Professionals
The Alliance for Action on Integration of Foreign Professionals (AfA-IFP) released five workplace and community integration initiatives in July 2026, including an EP Journey pilot for selected new Employment Pass holders, sector orientation programmes, employer resources and cultural-sensitivity training.
Integration of Foreign Professionals
The Alliance for Action on Integration of Foreign Professionals (AfA-IFP) is a workplace-and-community integration initiative convened in 2025 by the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY), Singapore Business Federation and Singapore National Employers Federation. On 10 July 2026, the alliance released a report identifying five initiatives to help foreign professionals understand Singapore's norms and support firms in building more inclusive workplaces. This is an integration-policy layer, distinct from Employment Pass eligibility rules and from the Migrant Workers' Engagement Grant (MCCY, 10 July 2026).
Five initiatives
The five initiatives are: EP Journey, a baseline orientation for selected new Employment Pass holders; TAC-led Orientation Day, for sector-based connection and orientation; an Integration Playbook and Workshops for employers; a Cultural Sensitivity Training Course for HR practitioners and team leaders; and a Central Repository of Resources for firms and foreign professionals. They are a coordinated set of programmes and resources, not a new work-pass category or a single grant (MCCY, 10 July 2026).
EP Journey and sector orientation
MCCY says the six-month EP Journey pilot for selected new Employment Pass holders commenced in May 2026, with a target of 600 EP holder participants before progressive expansion to all new EP holders. Separately, six Trade Associations and Chambers committed to run sector-specific Orientation Day programmes from the third quarter of 2026. These are orientation and integration activities; they do not replace MOM's pass application, renewal, salary or COMPASS requirements (MCCY, 10 July 2026).
Pilot status and interpretation of figures
As of June 2026, MCCY reported that over 50 firms had participated in AfA-IFP pilot initiatives, involving HR practitioners, team leaders and Employment Pass holders. The figures are dated pilot participation and programme targets, not the number of all foreign professionals or all Singapore employers. The Integration Playbook, workshops, cultural-sensitivity course and resource repository have their own implementing partners, rollout schedules and participation routes, so current users should check the relevant partner materials for operational details (MCCY, 10 July 2026).
